Fortified Health Security has partnered with CloudWave, a cloud-solutions provider, to offer OpSus Defend to meet specific security and compliance requirements of hospitals and other healthcare organizations.

“Healthcare organizations have highly specialized needs and this partnership gives clients confidence for privacy and security,” said Dan L. Dodson, President of Fortified Health Security. “Our team of certified cybersecurity professionals combined with CloudWave’s best practices for ITIL operations, healthcare infrastructure design and secure operations, was a natural fit.”

OpSus Defend is a set of managed security services now available through CloudWave’s OpSus Healthcare Cloud. The new Fortified Health Security service offerings allow healthcare organizations to add layers of professionally managed security protection and monitor data on-premise – or as part of cloud-based system – as their needs require. OpSus Defend will now offer HIPAA Risk Analysis, Security Information and Event Monitoring, Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Threat Management, and Data Loss Prevention as modular managed services, all to be exclusively powered by Fortified Health Security.

“Together through OpSus Defend powered by Fortified Health Security, we are providing experienced resources and ongoing monitoring to continuously improve a hospital’s security posture by identifying risks and implementing measures to prevent breaches, and meet state and federal compliance,” continued Dodson.

Instead of high-priced, “after-event” services, OpSus Defend now provides proactive security management, consumption economics and improved security workflow. OpSus Defend Security-as-a-Service (SECaaS) includes continuous monitoring, frequent communication, and an evolving security defense.

“We are pleased to partner with Fortified Health Security to bring a healthcare-specific offering to hospitals,” says Jim Fitzgerald, Executive Vice President at CloudWave.  “Hospitals need a way to meet the ever-evolving security threats to patient data, and often don’t have the resources and skills on staff to not only protect systems, but implement safeguards to drive compliance with HITECH and HIPAA.  The combined teams at CloudWave and Fortified provide the leading-edge technical and cybersecurity expertise necessary to help our customers build a strong security stance.”
