Fortified Advisory Board unites healthcare executives in search for collaborative solutions to cybersecurity vulnerabilities and threats
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – December 10, 2024 – Fortified Health Security (Fortified), a Best in KLAS managed security services provider (MSSP) specializing in healthcare cybersecurity, has announced the formation of the Fortified Advisory Board (FAB), a group of healthcare industry executives who share a common goal: Using their experience and expertise to address the IT and cybersecurity challenges facing hospitals and healthcare organizations today.
The FAB convenes representatives from healthcare organizations across the United States. The group comprises executive IT leaders, including Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), as well as CTOs and ISOs. Each member brings a unique perspective and represents healthcare organizations of all sizes, from organizations that span the U.S. and major regional health networks to small, rural hospitals.
“As the leading healthcare-only cybersecurity firm in the United States, we believe that Fortified has a responsibility to bring experts in our industry together to mobilize against the threats facing hospitals and healthcare organizations,” said Dan L. Dodson, Chief Executive Officer at Fortified. “The Fortified Advisory Board is a physical manifestation of that responsibility. There is strength in numbers in making healthcare organizations more resilient in the face of increasingly complex cyber threats.”
With a term length of twenty-four months, the FAB will meet quarterly to discuss emerging threats and vulnerabilities, review legislative and regulatory updates, and identify collaborative solutions for scaling and strengthening cybersecurity preparedness and resiliency in healthcare organizations. Members of the inaugural board include:
- Jerry Pagell, Security Information Officer, Cook County Health, Cook County, Illinois
- Tyler Whetstine, Chief Information Officer, USA Health, Mobile, Alabama
- Ann Wright, Director of IT and Informatics, OrthoNebraska, Omaha, Nebraska
- Christopher Scanzera, IT Executive and CIO, Randolph, NJ
- Steven Ramirez, Chief Information Security & Technology Officer, Renown Health, Reno, Nevada
- Eric Enos, Chief Technical Officer, LifePoint Health, Brentwood, TN
“I am excited to join the Fortified Advisory Board on behalf of Cook County Health and similar healthcare organizations in the United States,” said Jerry Pagell. “The time is past due for us to work on collaborative solutions for cybersecurity threats in the healthcare industry. Fortified has taken a huge step forward with the Fortified Advisory Board, and I am honored to bring my perspective to the table in the fight against threat actors.”
